Ok. So far this year, my dark romance books have been giving dark. In a good way. The descriptions have immersed me fully and - my God! This book. I’m only on 6% and what Beast is enduring- shivers. Shivers!!!!

4% in and I am irritated by Lilla. Which is excellent writing by the author. I want to scream at her to heed the advice of everyone. *deep exhale* 😮‍💨 The writing is quite good so far. Enjoying sinking my teeth into this.

The kindle algorithm keeps recommending me Orc books and bloody hell, I’m going to read them. 😂

It’s still so good. The first three volumes had me completely enthralled and the next installments have only continued to have me hooked. I love Teacher and Shiva so much. Auntie is just a victim of her circumstances. I do not hate her.

One of my resolutions for this year is to read more PHYSICAL copies of books. So I started my year with a bang! Went to Barnes and Noble and went HAMMMM. Lol. Husband also surprised me with books. So now, if anyone needs me, I shall be locked away in my reading corner for a long, looong time. I will emerge for reviews.

I thought this reading this author’s work for the first time earlier, but now reading this book, it’s almost glaring obvious. This book was written using ChatGPT. A lot of the paragraphs are repeated in a way that a human mind would have caught. It’s kind of infuriating.

I have YET to read a bad book from K. Alex Walker. Her pen game is top tier. Truly!

Just realise I have not been adding all the manhwas and mangas that I’ve been reading all year. Read some beautiful, some boring, some disappointing, but need to add them to my ‘Read’ pile.

What is torture? Torture is only being 37% in and having to read about 10 DRY sex scenes- some IMMEDIATELY following the other. I would like authors to know it’s okay to fade to black if you’re unable to write a spicy scene. It’s FINE, but please stop torturing readers with these bland scenes! Just because you fill the spaces with lots of sex, doesn’t make it an erotic book!!
