FINALLY something has happened… and whoa is it messed up.

This is such a weird book… compelling but so very long winded. How did this book not get edited down to a third its size??

So far contains the LONGEST opening sentence ever written and an overabundance of adjective-laden description on irrelevant things. Might be why it’s almost 800 pages long.

I’m bored.

So far, this book is disappointing. These detectives, including the FMC, are idiots… though I don’t think the author is intentionally portraying them as idiots… which says to me the author isn’t very savvy.

I don’t think I can read much more of this.

The reaction a grown man should have to a pen unknown half brother is shock. Not excitement about having someone to eat Thanksgiving dinner with.

I think I’m done with this.

Also, the MC’s mother TEXTED HER that her grandmother died. Because that’s believable.

Chapter1, page 9: Literally EVERYONE is crying. This does not bode well for the remaining 95% of the book….

Yowch.

Haha. So true.

Finally, a murder! Things are gonna get exciting now, right? RIGHT??

Only 20% in and we’ve already had two sex scenes between perfect strangers. And this book started out with such promise…

One third of the way through the book and FINALLY something happened. Something mundane, but still.
