On chapter 4 and I’ve already skipped most of it… it’s basically a word for work recap of the previous 3 books so far.

I literally gasped. WHAT JUST HAPPENED

If this doesn’t end well I’m going to be broken. The amount of times I sit here with a goofy grin on my face is ridiculous. This book better not hurt me 😆

Ch. 35. This one is dragging on and incredibly difficult to get into. I’m trying to finish it but about halfway through and it is very boring. 😬

“I’m afraid to feel anything for fear of feeling everything.”

“I’m broken! People talk and become friends and fall in love, and I talk, and people leave, and I push them away!”

“I’ll be perfectly fine, going on about my day, and then I’ll call for you in the other room. When you don’t answer it’s like I have to relive it all over again. I’m pretty sure I’ll never get used to the fact that you’re gone.”

This hit so hard.

Starting chapter 6. Ugh. So far it’s cute but there’s soooo much internal dialogue. Not my favourite.

I dislike first person narrative. 😶

Not my favourite read so far.

I love Kayden and Jake, but there seems to be so many open ends to this book… maybe it’ll close it off at the end with the initial murder and that trial, but it seems to just drop off part way through, which is like, what was the point of it… so Jake and Kayden could develop that relationship and work together? Just slightly confusing.

Ugh back to marriage being a business deal… I get the reasoning but come onnnnnn Dee! Change it up!
