This book is really speaking to the parts of me that see the systems underlying everything. Individual choice and behavior is an illusion. It's probably not your fault.

The book is sadder than I expected it to be.

Reading this plus talking to my Polish cousin has me really motivated to learn Polish.

I appreciate that this author doesn't gloss over the atrocities done to Native Americans or try to excuse the people who committed them.

Tonight I sat in my garage reading this aloud to my two-week-old chicks and it refreshed my soul. There's so much peace in these words.
