Pretty good so far. But hoping for deeper and more vivid depictions of the angelic and demonic forces. The original war to set the scene for this blighted post-apocalypse could've been given far more time, especially given Gamma of The Seven's badass build-up. Hoping more of that historic battle will be revealed.

A fascinating look at a mind and world that's completely alien to me. True to the title, this man is utterly obsessed, truly in love with, making good deals and getting what he wants. Winning is *all* that matters. He and the people he works with live in an alternate dimension which is hyper-competitive; relentlessly material and surface-level; where all revolves around ego, prestige, and who and what is popular.

All the magical possibilities in the writerverse and so far we've used them to 1. Make hats; 2. Spring clean a castle; 3. Climb lots of stairs; 4. Have dramatic magical deaths happen off-screen, and 5. Open a flower shop. We did have a wizard duel with giant monster transformations, but even the crowd of townspeople watching it drifted off back to their homes. But this boring, BORING book will not defeat me. Onward!
