The dialogue between Molly and LT. Tonder on pages 82-84 (for my copy) was magnificent.
I. It humanizes Tonder to some degree, although he's the "enemy." He's lonely and afraid.
II. Molly's brutal honesty regarding human survival and what was done to her husband, Alex.
III. Desire v.s. reality: Tonder craves connection and affection while Molly reminds him of death and violence.
