My husband found this book in a free pile and picked it up thinking I may enjoy it. He was right, indeed. This has already been such a fun book to read. Warner's charming writing style and sense of humor is so enjoyable! Apparently he was good friends of Sam Clemens and shares a similar technique. I'm on a kick with these books from the 1800's now I guess...

I've only just started but this book is an instant favorite! Looking forward to checking out the children's version by Tyler Van Halteren when I'm done with this.

I started with Chapter 11 "An Undivided Life" on the topic of how reflecting on Scripture can affect the double-minded man. Excellent content and a fairly easy read so far. Looking forward to reading from the beginning.

So far this is reminiscent of a research paper I would have written in school - deep dive into the family tree peppered with seemingly random facts about various family members and caregivers within the home. Looking forward to getting past this portion.

This book has been exactly what I needed to hear - very convicting, educating, deep and complex, and yet easy to understand. Really benefiting from this read.
