I've never said this about a book, but: this feels lazy, as if the author did not bother putting any work into it.

It's all insta love, there's no real development to the relationship, many cheesy lines and the main couple (specially the oblivious female MC) acts like clueless teenagers.

I don't think I'll DNF this one, just because I paid for it, but it's a pretty bad book, coming from a very talented author.

The ferris wheel bit was annoying: it wasn't brave and inspiring, but stupid and reckless.

DNF at 16%, chapter 7, 'cause I'm not gonna put myself through this, when I can already tell it's bad.

I hatehatehate insta love, the female MC is in her thirties, but sounds and acts like a teenager, there's just no point in submitting to this torture.

I can't and I won't.

I'm on chapter 29 and I almost can't take it anymore, I wanna give up and DNF this.

It was a 3-stars book, but now it's down to 2.

I realised at no point of the book we are given de mc couple ages, but she acts so insecure and we're supposed to believe she's a badass bodyguard? No, just no.

Dude, so many pages.

I can't believe this is the sequel to the amazing The Boy and His Ribbon.

This is just boring and annoying.

I've lost count of how many times I've thought about DNFing this one.

But now I've gone too far to just give up, even though I know it will only lead to disappointment.

Also, the guy calling her "Butterfly" is supposed to be sexy?

I'm so sick and tired of beautiful-but-insecure female characters.

Also, stop trying to be funny when you're really not.

So far, I'm not interested.

Callie was pretty perfect, but Holland is supposed to be a flawless angel or something.

And Luke? What a whinny baby, just get over yourself and try not to cry every few pages, there was too much of it on book 1 already.

While the first on the series started off amazing and ended up being just ok, I'm hoping this one will be the other way around.

Fingers crossed, eyes rolled.

So far, it's a 5-star read!

So far it's really good, but waaaay too similar to Gone Girl (which is a favorite of mine and the movie is also great).

It was ok so far.
Lately I just do not have it in me to keep going when the book does nothing for me.
I did not read enough to be able to judge its quality, but it's just too long and I do not care about the characters, so I'm gonna DNF this one.
