Learning a lot, interesting telling of a period primarily through accounts of the Italian peasantry, middle class, and aristocracy. Great insight into what every day Italians thought of the Mussolini regime in the moment.

wicked - took a few days break to read hamlet (hopefully stephen makes a bit more sense now; and pick up on some of the constant shakespeare references)
