Did not know this book was enemies to lovers (which I normally don’t like), and I fear I’m already sold on Emery and Ambrose. They’re the perfect foils to each other, and I’m so intrigued to see how this continues to play out. ALISTAIR REEVES TAKE ALL OF MY MONEY!!

I’m so fucking angry, hence why I’m writing updates every three seconds. So Gansey doesn’t have to fucking die even though he is FATED to die, but of course the one fucking queer couple in this book is destined to kill each other???

Ronan and Adam’s first kiss is going to make me throw up everywhere. The rest of this book better be them falling in love and getting married + random chapters of Henry and Noah living their little lives (afterlife in Noah’s case)

Need, need, NEED this book to continue being “Adam and Ronan’s Little Gay Lives” every time it’s one of their chapters. Quite frankly, don’t care about Blue or Gansey right now

Blue and I have such a complicated relationship, but if there’s one thing I will forever love about her, it’s the way she treats Noah

Such a weird thing to be nitpicky about, but one of my least favorite tropes is “Don’t be offended if my pet/child hates you, they hate strangers…. WHAT?!?! THEY LOVE YOU AND YOU’VE ONLY JUST MET?!?!” Could you lay it on any thicker that there’s eXpLoSiVe ChEmiStRy between the two MCs, and they’re destined to be together?

I think I have to embrace MCs being a little insufferable if I want to get through any book these days. Emmy’s certainly meant for Talia though; they’re both kind of the worst. I’m LOVING the fantasy elements though! I love a good witch town!!

Girl, how traumatizing does the break up have to be where we’re still thinking (obsessing) about it NINE YEARS LATER?? May this love never find me😟

I have NO idea how this book is supposed to be near finished because NOTHING has been resolved

Finally, we reintroduce the fact that Adam is deaf in one ear. This is such a weird thing for me to be hung up on, but it happened and was never spoken about again, which makes no sense for it to have happened in the first place. Disabling a character for plot convenience then never actually addressing how their disability affects their life is a little icky… but alas it returns!

One day I’ll stop giving live page by page updates, but that’s not today. PLEASE stop reexplaining plot points!!! I know who people are! I know what the ley line is!! It’s the THIRD BOOK IN THE SERIES

Gansey having a panic attack because he thinks there are hornets on him (which he is DEATHLY allergic to) and Blue is telling him that he’s pissing her off and she should be the one that’s getting reassured?? I HATE HER!!

Noah is the best. I love Noah. Where is my Noah centric book? When is Noah the main character? I don’t know why I’m struggling to finish this book because I like Ronan. #losingit

I’m crawling through this book at a snail’s pace for numerous reasons, but I’m desperately hoping we get through the retelling of the first book soon. I read the first book. I remember what happened. Diva, you don’t have to tell me every plot point again

The comment blue makes about wanting to kiss gansey coming from the sensible part of her mind deducing that he just has a nice mouth… i want to eat a pound of bricks. I HATE “oh i’m not in love with — they’re just nice to look at” and then it’s some stupid “oh my god i’ve loved you this whole time!”

I really do resonate with a lot of the themes explored in this book, but they feel repetitive at times

Adam Parrish = Todd Anderson but honestly? Adam, Ronan, and Noah are all more interesting to me than Gansey, which sucks because Gansey is the main Raven Boy

I was going to give this book the 50-page test, and now I’m over half way done🙃

I can practically smell an act 3 break up due to miscommunication brewing…

50 page rule failed me on the other book I was reading, but I’m liking this book a lot more so far. Both characters are already interesting to me, so FINGERS CROSSED IT WILL BE GOOD🤞🤞

I watched the show before I read the book, so take everything with a grain of salt. The constant narration worked well in the show but I’m kind of hating how much telling there is in the book?

Stop I had such high expectations and now it’s turning out like every other YA novel I’ve read recently

Love that we aren’t infantilizing Crest/Ross, but you cannot convince me these characters are high schoolers. They read as adults, so any mention of Sean being in high school is SO awkward😭😭 what do you MEAN we’re worried about prom???
