So far this seems like it was deliberately written to be quirky and it reads a bit try hard to me, but I may yet change my mind. Not sure why that's offputting to me but my brain works in weird and misterious ways

Reading this book makes me feel stupid but in the good way. I'm definitely out of practice reading anything about the exact sciences

This is REALLY good, but I stand by my opinion that it needs to be mowed down. Love the world building and the characters so far. Can't wait to see how the plot progresses.

Very enjoyable, but terribly long winded so far. In desperate need of an editor culling some pages out.

what i expect from Fahrenheit 451: a gripping dystopian tale of fire and psychological change
what i got: that, and so much purple prose in the first 5 pages alone that it makes me want to puke.

CUT TO THE FUCKING CHASE BRADBURY, AND STOP COMPARING FACES TO THE MOON ALREADY.

a bit hard going through this book because just when it gets good and the author starts making awesome points, she switches back to arguments that seem to have been born from her getting high on paint fumes.

so far this seminal feminist book is a quarter good points, a quarter interesting things i never considered, a quarter interesting arguments...and another quarter of almost conspiracy theories revolving the Patriarchy. i don't know how to feel about it, as one page i'm nodding alone, the other i feel enlightened, and then on the third i cringe and roll my eyes.
