I find myself skimming parts that I see as filler. I guess I just need to chill 😭 Im excited for her to possibly cross. I wonder what the queen is hiding.

Its at this point in book 2 that I really feel tired reading this book. Im enjoying the story, but the pacing is one thing after another after another rapidly. They never stay anywhere for very long or have any calm moments. The last time in this series that we had a genuinely chill scene was right before sh*t hit the fan on the very next page.

Great-Grandma say what?! No freakin deal! Sure the guy might not be half bad, but he is a cousin! Wtf? Incest much?

Oooo we just escaped a castle through a tunnel that is probably common knowledge for the shadow guard who live here, but sure we have time to chat without creating ANY distance. That cant go wrong in any way 🤦🏻‍♀️ Sh*t just happened, but run now and process later.

I wanna like this book so much. I find the world and the creatures in it interesting. I just feel like the characters don't take their own situations seriously by the way they speak. Its been a bit fast paced so far so there isnt much room for your mind to slow down while reading, but that does make me want to keep reading.

Also: You can't "fall" for someone this fast dude chill
