I love the story of the 2 moms sending letters to each other about their daughters.
It goes from professional black women trying to figure out the problem, to insulting each other and making threats. Calling each other “ghetto”.
And then as soon as their daughters get into a fight and were expelled. They became friends and were talking about someone else.

Already I’m starting to like this book.
The first story is pretty sad and it is a relatable story about a kid who loved anime and content, and another man who wanted to get his life together getting killed.
Cant wait to read the rest of this

I would have cut that man off as soon as I seen that condom wrapper in his trash.

I cannot wait to see the confrontation of Tia and Nate. I have the strongest feeling they are not going to be the end game relationship. I would be soooo okay with Tia not finding another man and learning to be by herself.

Picking up reading again and I’m starting with this book. So far.. getting nervous about the “relationship endgame”. Will it be Aaron? Will it be Nate? Will Tia be by herself? Will she find another man!!?

As much as a lot of the wording is kind of confusing to understand, I kind of feel it.

Im still going to continue to read this book because why not? I probably will have to reread it again some point in time. But I’m enjoying it.

“Peace means truly no talking.” Basic but it hits.

So far this book knows how to explain things in a beautiful but also weird way. We have the story of Mira and then it cuts to talking about the creation of earth and how people are.

Not gonna lie, I have no idea what is going on right now. But all I know is that the POV is this girl. She is with a man who is cheating on his wife. They are famous of some sort.

Honestly.. when it comes to Gil, Josh, and Jess. It’s really unsettling. Josh doesn’t take his OWN GF seriously!?

I know he loves her, but when it comes to her feelings about Gil trying to push her away from Josh, it makes me mad when he brushes it off. And what makes it worse is that it WORKS!!

Like Jess is being kinda stupidddddd

I’m starting to see a shift the the character Jess, when she got fired from her job.. she was making a big deal and being upset… then when Josh top her he was doing everything he can to no get her fired (even tho he still has his job)

now she’s okay with not working cause she’s with Josh?! Oh nah sis, don’t let this white man hold you down.

I really like how Jess and Josh are getting closer. I’m starting Part 2 and they are definitely getting closer.
You can really tell that Josh cares about Jess, how honest he is, and wants the best for her.

I’m really waiting for them to have their kiss moment. I pray it’s not at the end 🙏🏾

So far so good! I’m really liking the Jess and Josh dynamic.

I want them to kinda get together, but I have a feeling it’s not gonna be ☹️

So much has happened and that I’m listening to the audio book. Im super excited to see what happens next.

Skipping to where im at now, they solved the last sequence and the answer was “Only April. No one else.”

Im gonna read the last 4 chapters and then I’ll give my review (probably gonna finish it today).

So now that everyone in the world is having the same dream. April is going absolutely crazy to try and stay in the loop with everything happening with the Carls.

I’m kinda excited to see how the book plays out on the reasoning of why everyone is having the same dream, why they are here on earth, and how April is going to get tied into the mess.

(I’m hoping April is gonna have power to control the Carls)

April is kinda getting annoying to me when it’s comes to her wanting to be at the forefront of the whole Carl situation.

She’s doing anything she can to be the face of the Carls popping up. But she’s not really listening to the advice of her friends.. and she’s not trying any effort to stay in contact with her girlfriend Maya.

I fear that they are gonna end up breaking up, because how distracted April is.

This book has some decent sized chapters that I really like! So I don’t have to read a BUNCH and get burned out.

I really wanna read 3 a day. (Or at least finish this one before the month is up)

But so far I really am liking the character interactions in this book, and how relatable April is when I comes to doing anything.

Not gonna lie my head hurts so I stopped lol. Kinda different than what I usually read, but can’t wait’

I’m binging this book at the park and I’m really in this book. I have to watch this movie now cause I’m so intrigued.

We finally see where Stella is.

June sees her at a party that she was working at and for the past 2 chapters we have been getting a glimpse of her life posing as a white woman, lying about her past, and also being really disrespectful to the black people who live in her neighborhood. Which is jaw dropping.

Her telling her daughter “we don’t play with niggers”…. But being one is the craziest thing ever.

The fact that we still have no trace on Stella is KILLING ME!!

It’s actually killing me so bad that book time skipped to Jude being in college. And I’m only 1/4th?? Of the way done from the book. And no trace of Stella.

I’m gonna be sick if we finally get some trace of Stella she’s gonna be either dead, or really ignorant on the fact of talking about her sister.

I know this isn’t a romance book but I’m rooting for Early and Desiree HARD.

I’m really praying that Early falls for Desiree harder than her. And I know that I’m not even half way through the book but I love them as characters.

Also we have no idea what Stella has been up to besides people in Mallard are saying “she’s thinking she’s white” which is crazy 🤦🏾‍♀️

I finished the first chapter (after a while) and I’m liking the story so far.

I wanna pick this book back up and start reading addictively again. Stop being on my phone and read these 4 books lol.

But this chapter is good! The end had me confused with the sudden intro to new characters trying to find Desiree.

This book is already starting out with some heavy topics around colorism. Which the way the author is writing makes me draw into the book.

With a history of a man being hated for his light skin, it starts a out of control spiral of his next generation pushing out the agenda of having light skin.

Gonna start this book tonight 😗

I honestly like how the book is heading. The way that the author writes makes me wanna tap into more of her books.

Rain being fierce at the beginning and now (where I am) she’s calming down and wants to look beyond her tribe?? And her people.

This book isn’t (yet) like a normal dialogue book, it’s like logs between the two characters Zoe and Agnes.

They are talking about the history and their connection between Agnes selling an apple peeler to Zoe.
