Training with Isaac's team had given me some part of my life to not revolve around politics, kingdoms, and duty. But even around a group who didn't treat me as something foreign because I was a princess, no one could take the weight of being the Crown Princess from me. Even with a boy who seemed to see me and not a royal title I couldn't let my guard down.

I shook my head, looking down so that maybe James wouldn’t see how hard I was trying to keep it together. Because I needed him to think I could handle this. I needed him to trust that his older sister could handle this even though she couldn’t.

I've already teared up twice and I pulled out a pen to annotate in chapter two - loving this!!!!

If it wasn’t almost 3:30 am I’d be binging this for longer-
