I binged the Heated Rivalry show (omg, so good!), and now I need to binge the book series.

Super excited to jump into this e-arc of R.L. Caulder's first tradpub book! I've been reading her Indie books for YEARS!

Boring, and I hate all of the characters.

I'm going to go ahead and DNF this at 25%/114 pgs. It's a bit too academic for me and is reading more like a textbook than a book I want to read for enjoyment.

I struggled to get into this....and my library loan expired. I might come back to it eventually.

Gonna DNF. I just cannot get into the story, and the FMC is annoying me to the point that I don't want to try.

Naming the respective worlds "Ourland" and "Theirland" seems a bit basic and lazy.

It didn't grab my attention like I thought it would from the jump, but things are moving right along now. Just a little past halfway, and I'm not quite sure what to expect.

I am struggling with getting this completed. And my library loan is due today lol
It's good, but it's just not hitting right, right now. I'm going to have to revisit this in the future.

Starting the final book in The Nighteshade Crown trilogy!

Pretty good so far!

However, I just got an e-arc for one of my most highly anticipated books.....so this is getting put on hold while I go devour that.

I think I just need to understand something about myself- No matter how hard I want to love them, cozy fantasies just aren't my jam.

I struggled to stay interested in the first series, but figured I'd give this new spin off a try because I liked the characters when they were in the first series. Right now, I'm struggling because I'm finding Wren to be insufferable. I like Torj though! I'll keep reading to see if I get hooked.

I am on the struggle bus with trying to finish this book. I am not feeling the relationship between the fmc and mmc. I'm to the point of skimming their interactions as I try to find plot progression.

I am on the struggle bus to get through this last book in the series. Loved the series previously, but this book seems like such a departure from the rest.

Yes, I'm rereading this for the 3rd or 4th time this year. Mind your business 😅
The audiobook was just released, and book 2 comes out at the end of the month!

Hate the cover and the alternate cover, but FOMO means I'm gonna read it to see what all the hype is about.

I'm just having a hard time getting into this. I've been taking a break and reading other books. I'll come back to it.

I've heard a lot of good things about this book, time to give it a try!

Okay, I'm trying not to spoil anything, but everyone has come together now. The chapters are fairly short and are told in varying POVs, which is something I personally enjoy. Between the short chapters and rotating POVs, it makes the book seem like it's moving faster than what it is. I have also literally laughed out loud at various times, which took me by surprise. So far, so good!
