Very dark fantasy exploring magical possession and the concept of consent! I throughly enjoyed these characters and cannot wait to continue the series! Lad is a very likable protagonist, and my heart aches for maya, just as much as my anger swells every time she makes a bad decision. Loved this book a lot!
