Get the feeling that Cormac McCarthy said “I’m 89 and I’ll write what I want!” 🤔

On one hand you could easily say that Michelle Obama and I have nothing in common. On the other hand I so identify with her. Raised in a no nonsense house where effort=reward. Draw a straight line from Point A to Point B. Achieve. Only then does the question of fulfillment enter. I am loving this book so far.

Reading this book to my grandmother. I so love Mary Oliver’s nature poetry.

3.5 lots of twists and turns. Fun.

I’m only about an hour in and DNF. It’s way over my head. I thought it would be more biographical than scientific. I’m out.

A reread. Been at least 30 years.

Spoilers here. A bit slow to start but oh, so sweet. I can totally identify with this book. Leaving lists of books for those I love. Speaking love through book recommendations. ❤️❤️
