i’m not sure if i like this book. it’s an interesting read, but i don’t fully understand the choices being made. is it just purely love and desire pushing the story forward? it’s just not very satisfying, at least not yet

i’m honestly so confused on the timeline and how old everyone is. medea is about 20, which i think should make phaethon 14 at the oldest. chalciope’s children are even younger and are out exploring on ships?? i hope it gives me better age clues soon

i am liking this book, but also the way demeter is acting towards the nymphs after core went missing is atrocious. yes, the nymphs let her explore on her own, but she is a grown ass goddess who asked to do so. it is not the nymphs fault that your daughter has been lying. demeter never truly saw them as sisters or children like she claimed, but as servants/slaves or she wouldn’t have reacted as she did to them

i knew these events were coming but it doesn’t stop me from sobbing. this book is very good at conveying emotions, tension, and more

i am really liking this book. it is good and well written. the one complaint i’d say is the use of the r word. this is a 2021 book and that word has been looked down upon for awhile by then. it sticks out like a sore thumb and is ugly on the pages
