This book makes me glad I never got into drinking or drugs.

True fact, this book is depressing.

This book is fascinating. I love the way Chuck explores life. All things dark and beautiful. A million random and intended collisions happening at any given moment. Maybe it’s disturbing. Maybe it’s gorgeous. But it’s definitely life.

This book does a great job exposing American interventionism abroad in pursuit of countering Eisenhower’s supposed Domino Theory. Not that the USSR is without its interventions in Hungary and Prague not to mention Afghanistan. Still, the story of Pinochet in Chile is blood chilling and infuriating.
