part 2 chapter 3 genuinely made me feel second hand dehydration from the comfort of my own bed, wow.

williams' prose is immaculate, really love his style of writing here. also very funny how completely bereft of intelligence andrews is the second he meets miller, as if the "cool calm collectedness" of the most obvious sadistic con-artist ever has sucked his brain out of his skull

still think the same as before. someone in a review wrote how transness really is contagious in its personalized manifestations and i do so feel that right now. to me this museum still keeps my mind locked to those often repeated questions of “will i ever stop being okay with leaving this world”. but hannah’s doing a good job at making me feel not quite as stuck in this cyclical self-ascribed “isolation”

wow… Stag Dance itself is so beautiful and so surreal. a really gorgeous dive into the depths of dysphoria and also gender affirmation. the ending hurt………

peters has really shifted her writing style dramatically in Stag Dance itself from even the prior two short stories, which in a way lends itself to babe’s pov of being this self-described brute desperately yearning for this euphoric experience of femininity. the contrast between the stiffness of masculinity babe performs versus the combined jealousy and admiration for lisen and the desire for gender affirmation.,,,

the first two short stories were spectacular in their own way. infect your loved ones felt like a bittersweet examination on the cruelty of societally accepted and encouraged transphobia leads to a certain (id argue beautiful) insularity of joy in the form of t4t love. the chaser was, in stark contrast, dreadful (in a good way!). the climactic moment in the barn was such an infuriating and heartbreaking moment for me
