I’m starting to feel like this would be more helpful and much less weird if it wasn’t written by a poet. But then again, she’s writing to another writer so I’m the target audience. 🤷‍♀️

Ok ok, Ciri’s story is turning more into what I remembered it being but I had no idea there was this whole middle section that almost threw a wrench into everything. Crazy.

I could have sworn Ciri’s story was a bit different… who else could I be mistaking her for?

I’m kind of sad to be almost done with this book.

So far, everyone has been right- this series is starting to get better.

I always thought I hated memoirs and biographies/autobiographies. Turns out, I just hate when they’re by or about celebrities and politicians and I actually enjoy them when they are about someone who has done something useful.

I can’t wait to be done with this book. Not even sure why I haven’t just given up on it already.

This is equal parts fascinating and horrifying so far.

This book is half the story I wanted to read and half a history/science textbook that I am in no mood to learn about.

Toby is so controlling and manipulative sheesh. Starting to think he’s the “A Friend” that’s sending her all these stupid messages.

This book is surprisingly more than just funny.

I feel like I always fly through the books in this series.

This is so sad and horrifying. I hadn’t expected it to happen this way from the summary. It would have been awful in any century but in the 1960s seems especially barbaric.
