Guys what should I read when I'm too ill to concentrate yet bored out of my mind with no intellectual stimulation? I was so dumb to read DtWOF early this year...this would have been such a great time for it.

I fear this will be the first Emily R. Austin book I don't rate 5 stars. I guess it's my fault for spoiling the major Margit revelation but in my defence the format doesn't allow for much show-not-tell about Greta's situation.

I've changed my mind; I love this so much.

I'm only reading the 1960s bit of the story because the MC of the 2000s bit is possibly the most annoying character I've had to read about all year. And I WILL be marking this as read when I'm 'done'.

Not an ARC. I don't know why Goodreads is so US-centric with publishing dates.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers ahh book

I feel so wacky constantly picking books I know will be flops from the 10th page. It's like the universe (my tbr shelf) is just deliberately throwing me curveballs. I WAITED 2 WEEKS FOR THIS RESERVE FROM THE LIBRARY!!

Bye bye Sister Holiday, putting you on hold because reading on a laptop hurts my eyes and because something about this book is bugging me. Like, it should be AT LEAST 3.5 stars, but it's leaning closer to two rn.

I've got to be honest guys, I have no clue what page I am on. I have not touched this for two weeks and I fear I am leaning back into being a chronic 3-star-rater. I also fear Nestle didn't eat nearly as hard in this as in The Persistent Desire...

Got sidetracked from the other 50 billion books I'm reading in order to start one by one of my favourite Summer Authors™.

Have any other ND people experienced (temporary) loss of a special interest? Currently in a reading slump and it feels terrible to just straight up not want to read when logically I know it's my favourite thing in the whole wide world. Can't even take pleasure in organising my GR shelves or reading my old reviews anymore smh.

Should I just DNF atp? Might just mark it as read since I'm like 30 pages from the end.

I guess character development doesn't exist for vampires. Nor does actually developing their relationships with others, which is ironic since the vampire in question is 180 years old.

How have I never heard of the murder of Pat Cowan before? It's probably the most shocking part of this book, purely because no context was given.

We need to talk about how white women have more agency over their bodies in societal matters of sex and SW. White women are somewhat free to choose their 'brand', whereas black women will always first and foremost be fetishized for their race.

Kinda wish this book went on forever
