found this at the thrift and since i usually am a fan of bodyguard romances, i had to give it a go. i am not the biggest fan of rachel, however. her sister is far more interesting. and the romance is pretty dull.

i feel like i know where this is going. o'brien is probably not in any kind of resistance group. like at all. omg winston makes me so mad with his stupidity

i hate long chapters when i am in a rush 😭

jane is very relateable

i do want to love this book, but i have serious problems with winston's view of women. not only is he a sex buyer (something i perhaps could have overlooked, since it was written in a different time after all), but his weird, rapey comments about julia bothers me a great deal.

currently reading this book for school as well. this really is the year of the classics for me! i absolutely love this (and jane!) so far.
