currently reading this book for school as well. this really is the year of the classics for me! i absolutely love this (and jane!) so far.

I've read it recently. Must confess, I found the start a bit slow and boring, but then it caught me. I needed to know what was going to happen!!

The trope of a persecuted orphan that overcomes great odds is classic. You can see it in Oliver Twist and Harry Potter as well as this book.
