I have changed my mind. This book is definitely still WAY too long, my god it never ends.

This is so much easier to breeze through as a reread. Got it on as background noise for everything I do.

This is taking me so long to get througghhhhhh. It’s not living up to the hype of the first book I’m so disappointed. It’s not BAD but it’s just dragging.

This is so action packed and fast paced I’m devouring it

It’s giving “I’m so small and weak”, “I’m so worthless, why would anyone be interested in me”, “Who? Me? Special?”. Unlikeable FMC so far, but I have hopes that it’ll get better 🤞

This is massively growing on me

Hopping back into this after a biiig pause. Hopefully the last half picks up a bit.

I have no idea what’s going on. I don’t know if it’s the sentence structure or what but I’m finding it really difficult to follow and understand.
This book starts by jumping straight into the action with two POVs and introduces MANY different characters, I don’t know who anyone is and I don’t have enough context behind all this fighting.
I know I’m only 50 pages in, but I’m struggling bad.

I feel like this may be one of those books you had to be there for and experience when it originally came out, bc I am just not getting the hype.

Feel like we are finally getting somewhere, felt like the story hadn’t really started, was bored and couldn’t tell what direction this was going in. But I’m on board now!

Starting with this before six of crows was definitely the move. That would’ve been so confusing if I kept going without shadow and bone.
I’d only gotten through 20 pages of six of crows in the past two weeks and I just sat down and zoomed through 80 pages of shadow and bone immediately. Soooo that’s a win

Idk what it says about this book that it took me until like 75% to get hooked.
