Giving myself a slow start into this, as I remember my last Eliot read being quite dense (and I’m still getting over East of Eden…)

I feel I could devour this book in one sitting, and yet I’ve slowed simply because I don’t want it to end.

Well that was the most heart wrenching chapter yet.

I don’t think there’s a single person in this book I don’t feel a degree of empathy for.

I couldn’t resist reading a bit more.

A quick chapter while I have time, but what a chapter it was. There is so much deep rooted symbolism in this book that it’s just flooring at times.

There is something just so mesmerising about this book to me.

Such effective characterisations to explore evil, weakness, naivety.

It just keeps growing more wild, and yet I am so entranced.

It already feels like things are going to go disastrously wrong.

This plot of this book is insane and intense in the best of ways.

I’ve immediately become entranced by this book.

An interesting descriptive start to grow accustomed to the writing style. This book feels a tad outside of my comfort zone but I’m excited to give it a go.

I’ve been in love with this book thus far. I feel so deeply for Molly!

I’ve finally had some time to read this stunning book.

This book is so easy to fall into.

Elizabeth Gaskell does really know how to craft a sense of space and setting in her books, that much is already affirmed.

Wading through my reading slump with Austen

An interesting start, I’ve missed Austen’s writing and I’m super excited to get into this one.

Loving this book so far.

An interesting introduction to the glittering society of Wharton’s New York and characters so far.

So far, Emma is such a compelling character. An idealist; a dreamer.

Excited to get into this one.

This book just keeps getting more and more interesting.

Very engrossed.

Dumas definitely doesn’t waste any time creating an intricate story!!
