Holy shit, legitimate goosebumps. Listening to the audiobook and it's more like a radio drama, fantastic.
The levels are a bit off with the reverb effects vs the main narration, but I am having a great time so far. (Borrowed from Libby)

There are touch screen phones but there isn't a glow in the dark pop open the trunk latch wouldn't the cop know about that??? Isn't this a standard feature in cars now?

The lady cop dislocated her thumb to escape handcuffs. Ok makes sense. But then she uses the open end of the handcuff to saw through duct tape? Handcuffs don't open when you slip out????

Caught some mistakes
- dog is said to have been missing for a few days, The last book said a couple of weeks (during the vet scene) vet
- Derek mentioned that Barb never took him to get ice cream, confirming a mistake I noticed in the last book, that Ellie, the mom, sees her car in the driveway but it is empty, when it should be in the river

I'm getting major secondhand embarrassment from this oof

Not going to lie, calling the person who initiates a consensual sexual experience, the "aggressor", is a major red flag on how the author views sex tbh
