Good book well written
so many sentences underlined and so accurate to our time even from the decades of difference to when it was written

book structure is hard to read and makes it hard to follow the ideas exposed

Reread in 10-20 years to understand more of it. Some concepts were quite complex and the wording didnt help much

overall a classic and must read

amazing book
so many anotations, thoughts, essays, to be made out of simple sentences Orwell wrote.

very approachable writing style and easy to understand

such a creative approach to criticise political systems and the absurdity of it all
good ending of a circular path the oppressed becomes the oppressor who dies like the oppressor died by the oppressed

DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE!

easy way to end the book without actually ending it he is old and doesnt have much lifespan left to go back on earth but the question is still left hanging.
why would rocky not volunteer to do the trip and go with him so he can visit earth?

a bit of an underwhelming way of concluding Grace’s storyline

few sentences where quite repetitive (the heavy g issues, redondancy,…)

finale lacks conclusion with the stratt storyline and tomoeba’s future as a predator (does it just die when there’s no astrophage to eat?)

such a lovely and wholesome story

i looved the writing style and rocky’s dialogue evolution in the end
the science explanations are so well done and using rocky as a way to explain them to the reader is really smart

main character flaws like “cowardness” get answers
character attachement is real in this book rocky’s cuteness is sticking with me for a while

next post for critique on the ending

quite boring, not that much of a plot everything is expected
3rd person writing is not for me…
deals with depressive and suicidal themes… idk bad

Juice does not sound like a child at all
Phoebe is boring a bit hateful in her egoistical behavior but often redeemable

i don’t think Gary+Phoebe or Lila+Jim have any chemestry besides just having matching comunication expectations or close age gaps

still reading and i dont like 3rd person pov.

the romance was amazing

Joey’s character arc was really well done she did read as unsatisfied and kind of unsufferable and evolved toward happiness
Alex’s chapter felt a bit rushed and written more as a summary which makes sense

i didnt obv like all the smut and even less the first one with Ellie

It did have the same feeling as severance with this odd atmosphere when the timeline was mentionned

ITS SO CUTE
the characters ACTUALLY have chemistry and they evolve throughout the book
you get attachted to them so much
Amazing writing

i can’t really with the fact that they’re 40yo besides her acting and being the mom of a 13yo, her and Stewart behave like 25-30yo in other romances. This was kind of a struggle to imagine
didn’t like the smut talk/scenes. Not needed for the characters romance

made me cry many times, uses fictional element to show human emotions.

Very sweet very tender you get attached to the characters.

Has some repetitiveness to it with the time travelling concept but still manages to keep a sort of mystery to the events during the time travelling.
