that’s fucked up

i bet it’s cathy

He missed his brother more than he missed his mother and father.

i’m actually shocked

i feel like charles is either going to fall in love/marry one of the prostitutes he’s seeing or kill her

Charles had one great quality. He was never sorry—ever. He never mentioned the beating, apparently never thought of it again. But Adam made very sure that he didn’t win again—at anything. He had always felt the danger in his brother, but now he understood that he must never win unless he was prepared to kill Charles. Charles was not sorry. He had very simply fulfilled himself.

Cyrus wanted a woman to take care of Adam. He needed someone to keep house and cook, and a servant cost money. He was a vigorous man and needed the body of a woman, and that too cost money—unless you were married to it.

men.

And it never failed that during the dry years the people forgot about the rich years, and during the wet years they lost all memory of the dry years. It was always that way.

“I like you,” Andrew said, his mouth dry. “But not…not how you need.”

“Wait, what are you assuming I need?”

“Don’t pretend. You would want…you w-would want to sleep with me. Someday.”

“Well, obviously? Andrew, you’re beautiful. Of course I…I told you. I am in ruins for you. I’d give you anything.”

“Damn it, Andrew. Can’t you tell that I’m in…that I like you? Because I-I like you a lot, okay? Everything in me is in ruins. For you.”

“You could cut me open and devour everything that I am,” Thomas said, ragged and thin. “I would let you. I’d ask you to. But I have no idea what it means to you. What…what I mean to you.”

“Of course I like you.”

“But do you want me? How do you want me?”

“Stop.” 💔

When the wolf decided justice was necessary and ripped out the hearts of the cutthroat queen and the wormwood king and ate their six perfect sons, the seventh son did not even notice. He had found his reflection in the wishing well and liked staring at his pointed teeth. LOL

“I think someday you’ll hate me.” Thomas’s voice stretched with a loneliness Andrew had never heard before. “You’ll cut me open and find a garden of rot where my heart should be.”

“When I cut you open, all I’ll find is that we match.”

Once upon a time, Andrew had cut out his heart and given it to this boy, and he was very sure that Thomas had no idea that Andrew would do anything for him. Protect him. Lie for him.
Kill for him.

Once upon a time there lived a prince who wore a crown of rowan to protect him from woe, but a sweet willow maiden asked him to take it off in return for a kiss. After the kiss, she cut out his eyes.

I pick up my fork and glance up to him, he’s still sitting back watching me. “Are you eating?” I ask.

“I’m hungry…but not for food.” The air crackles between us as we stare at each other. His tongue slides over his bottom lip and I feel it between my legs.

“I’m not eating alone, so either you come over here and eat me or you eat dinner alongside of me.”

good for her

i think i counted six times “tempest” was used just in chapter four

Henry: Oh, I did. I figured Julia Robert’s in the ‘90s is worth three times as much as I am now. Woah. Don’t laugh at my dumb ‘90s joke! You might accidentally like me.

Anna: Yeah, I might…accidentally like you already.

Henry: Well will you stay then?

Anna: I would have stayed for two thousand.

Henry: I would have paid four.

i’m feeling this

Anna: I’m talking about you, American Gigolo.

Henry: Well, she’s definitely not paying me!

Anna: Oh, that’s good. That’s something.

Henry: And Pretty Woman, please, if I have to be a prostitute. I love that movie.

Anna: Me too.

Henry: And what would I even charge, three hundred bucks a night, like Julia?

Anna: Well, that was the ‘90s. You have to adjust for inflation.

ACT ONE ✅

Katherine: You don’t beat around the bush.

Rapp: I don’t see why I should. What, you don’t like me? I’m very likeable. Someone once told me I was affable.

Katherine: What are you doing, Detective?

Rapp: I…don’t know. Seeing you.

Katherine: Is this polic proc—

He kisses her. It’s a really great kiss.

Well. If you thought my office was cool…you should see my bedroom.

Rapp: Henry “saw” you? Come on. Fuck that. You are the most interesting person I’ve met in a long time. You couldn’t be invisible if you tried.

Katherine: Because I have cool skeletons in my closet?

Rapp: Because you’re beautiful and smart and I can see your mind working furiously every time I look at you.

Katherine: That’s a very good compliment.

Rapp: Yeah it is.

Henry: Hey, we’re animals. Beasts. Beasts with two backs, right? And we’re attracted to each other.

Katherine: How do you know I’m attracted to you?

Henry: I’m not an idiot.

Katherine: That’s good, because I thought you stole a lizard and chopped off its tail to get me to sleep with you.

Henry: I didn’t steal it.

Katherine: How much was it?

Henry: It was worth it.

Katherine: You have no idea.

i need jodie to stop talking 🤦🏾‍♀️

oh she’s CRAZY CRAZY

“If she was so beautiful and talented and the life of the party and she had this amazing life and a million adoring friends and you two were so in love, why did she shoot herself in the face?”

she ate them up 🤣🍿

His heart, his soul, his life, his cock, they all belonged to his wife, enumerating his parts in escalating importance. Boarding my plane at JFK, I promised myself that if he gave in, gave up, and fell with sweetness into my bed, he would live for me to tell the tale. If he didn’t, I would tell a different tale. It was all up to him, you see, whether he lived or died. It was his body, his choice.

girl the d can’t be that good

Nature had conspired to give us a beautiful day, [redacted] had used his skill to give us a beautiful sail, and I had to make a beautiful meal.

Now all I had to do was wait for [redacted] anaphylactic shock to kick in before I pushed him overboard and cut out his tongue.

[redacted] could, after all, only die once. I wanted to spend time with him again and I wanted to kill him again; I wanted both, and I wanted them at once and neither was possible. Were I able, I would gladly have brought [redacted] back to life to kill and eat him, over and over. Multiple lives are wasted on cats.
