It’s so funny to see my initial criticisms of this book when I first read it. The telling instead of showing won me over with the overall plot. This is one of my favourite series EVER. I’ve registered to the audiobooks maybe a hundred times and I’m on another re-listen now. I wish I logged all the times I re-listened

How is no one talking about how Devon is a pdfile?! He takes children changelings and makes them exchange s3x for his protection and the kids are very y0ung!? The way Toby talks about him and the kids in a neutral way is disgusting. Yes I understand she too went through it, but her attitude of ‘you know the rules’ is ridiculous

This book is written like the author thought of every cliche word and phrase and scene and put it in one book. I don’t think I’ll be able to get through it ☹️

Does this get better ? On chapter 6 and oh so bored. Also the narrator is ANNOYING and cannot act at all

I don’t really understand why Alessandro is interested in Catalina. It’s so weird. He literally comes out of nowhere and is all over her? But we don’t know why…I am also not convinced by the jump from Nevada to Catalina it feels weird and the story feels discombobulated

About 50% done, this book is reminding me of blood and ash (which I didn’t like). Hoping it grows on me. I do not like when characters have a power and it is SO OBVIOUS why they have the power, but they act stupid like they have NO idea why they have it 🙄 like girl USE YOUR BRAIN 🧠

This is so much better as the audio books. Got to love Stephen Fry ❤️
