I am enjoying this story, but it feels like it’s being a bit drawn out now. Maybe if they had escaped Hallow Hall earlier in the story, it might make sense to have all the storyline that’s happening now. But it’s just feeling too long. I understand the process of events, and the reactions of characters to them, but it’s just feeling, maybe, a little repetitive.

Ok, love this, BUT, the way Ahmya’s thoughts are written are making me think she’s schizophrenic 😂

I forgot I how much I loved this book. It’s so fun. And the political intrigue, chefs kiss👌✨💕

That hurts. She has 4 friends. There’s only eight available spots. Hers is pretty much guaranteed. They’re either going to get the spots, or they will die or be enslaved. What lovely options. This will hurt later.

This is intriguing…

I never really know what coming, and it’s fascinating. Being someone who dabbles in Tarot, I would even say that I know the cards reasonably well, I approve. Magic, and fate, and reading the cards accurately (to written-knowledges extent), it’s good. It’s gothic. It’s genuine. I’m so excited to keep reading.

Oof. The beginning of this book is, let’s call it rough. I don’t think I’ve cried and not felt sad while reading a book in a long time. It feels very bittersweet with my own reminiscing, grief, and nostalgia.

Goddamit Cletus!

There is no Cletus in this book, but for f*cks sake, Aurora should change her name. She was literally warned to not trust ANYBODY but Anyang and Ronan, and like an idiot, she didn’t really listen. Like at all.
She really could’ve just had a fricking conversation with Ronan, like an adult, and it would’ve been resolved without the mess.

The chapter heading at is so good. It really tells a story all in its own. I think it’s so good, and adds already to the excellent build of tension.

Maybe, just maybe, you should’ve listened to the weird lady, and maybe NOT confronted your man until you had a viable escape option….. just saying. He’s looking more and more sketchy every chapter.

God, this banter is fun!😂 still a touch unpolished in some places, but damn, this is fun💕

Wow, the build up of tension in the story is crazy. Crazy good.

It’s a little unpolished, but I’m having a lot of fun reading it. It’s really keeping me on the tip of my toes. I’m excited to figure out what’s happening.
