the day has finally come and i’ve already felt the dull ache in soul return with a vengeance

god the detail in this book is so stunning, nena and nestors relationship is probably one of the most heartbreaking portrayals of childhood friends i ever seen. But god the setting of this book is breathtaking

the only qualm i have with this books are the blatant references and reasons that both Maya and Hawk say outloud that are used to highlight the age-gap MANY times just in the first half of the book. Of course, part of it is to highlight and disguise Conor’s qualm with their romance but like damn it almost feels a little excessive.

Almost halfway through! Enjoying it a lot so far. The side characters are actually adding entertainment and character development to both Maya and Conor like you would see in a good rom-com. LovE how bold and fearless Maya is and how much kind of an butthole Conor is when it comes to how he disguises how he feels for her

kinda gagged how insane the tension is between Maya and Conor this early in the book

really excited to read this one! My friends got this for me a bday gift and considering most bridgerton books are okay to read as standalones why not read one for a story that hasn’t been fully adapted yet.
