this book sounds so absurd that i thought maybe it could pull me out of my reading slump

i'm alive and i'm finally coming back here, but i feel like i've missed so many updates from my favourite reviewers. ugh.

i was never really into kevin, especially this early in the story but now that i know all the details and their story with jean… let’s say, i’m really paying attention and whoah. jean, baby, i get you.

apparently goodreads has stopped showing me some friends’ updates in my feed (and i still don’t see comments either). the algorithm just hates me, i suppose.

ngl the new jjk trailer has me hyped, but every time i open the manga it looks like gege drew it blindfolded in a moving car. my relationship with this series is pure love-hate. i can’t stand one extremely popular character and some people in the fandom are just unbearable, ugh.

i wanna read something very silly and unserious but not in a bad way

idk why it’s taking me forever to finish this book. the first half was very much about introducing the characters and their quirks, so the plot felt slow but now that all the threads are finally moving, it’s much better and i’m actually enjoying it.

so, my brain said: you’ll have the desire to read all those amazing and intriguing books! but also: you will not be able to concentrate and actually read them. reading slump, i will fight you and i will win.

glad i decided not to wait for the audiobook release, btw. the male narrator really doesn’t work for me at all

i’m so tired of this kind of book marketing, like what are we even talking about here?

i kind of get why we were made to read this at 15, but also ??? i feel like it would be so much better to read it when you’re older. sure, a lot of people would skip the classics (most would), but it still feels almost pointless to read this as a teenager. not entirely, but almost.

decided to end the chaos in my “currently reading” by finishing three books today. three different emotional arcs crashing into me in +32 heat… my brain has officially melted.
