Camden Garrett is on page 156 of 336 of The Case for Covenantal Infant Baptism
Jeffrey D. Niell argues that the phrase "from the least to the greatest" (Jeremiah quoted in Hebrews 8) does NOT teach that every person in the new covenant will know God but that all classes of people will (i.e. not just the priests). Also, he argues that the internalization of God's law is not new in the new covenant. He thinks that the fulfillment of the ceremonial law is what is new.

Chapter 5 has been the best so far. Mark E. Ross argues that circumcision is not taken as a sign and seal of faith but that righteousness will be given on the basis of faith. I'm at least in agreement that the Roman Catholic conception position of sacramentalism is unbiblical. Now if only I could be convinced of paedobaptism from an evangelical perspective!

Really enjoying so far! Exposing huge exegetical and theological conundrums for premillennialism.

"In Jesus's and the prophets' critique, self-righteous religion is always marked by insensitivity to issues of social justice, while true faith is marked by profound concern for the poor and marginalized" (61).

I’m afraid to say I’m not loving this book. It’s hard to follow and the author thrusts you into the world without setting it up. I have the gist of it now but I’m sure I have an incomplete picture in my head.

I am LOVING this! I love how he exposes inconsistencies in secular positions. "How could you possibly know that no religion can see the whole truth unless you yourself have the superior, comprehensive knowledge of spiritual reality you just claimed that none of the religions have" (9).

Finally getting around to some books on my shelf I've had for a while. The Introduction was a charitable and insightful call for skeptics and Christians alike to engage with their doubts in order to be more knowledgeable on the basis for their beliefs.
