I love how Hamilton points out that Genesis is pervasively self-referential. Moses, Hamilton puts forth, repeats language, themes, and event to link figures in the Bible. Currently reading about how Adam, Abraham, Isaac, Moses…function as prophets.

Ughh I’m reading too many books right now. I hope I finish this one! This has been excellent so far. This has clarified for me what has been muddy in my head about the typological way Israel and Jesus are new Adams, Christ, of course, being the antitype whom all previous types anticipated. I would also say the connection between Cain and the seed of the serpent in Genesis 4 was clarified for me too!
