it’s exactly what you’d expect from a horror written in the early 2000s. There’s no chapters which is a creative choice and all that but i’m actually not a fan of this decision. It works for the story but it makes it feel so so long. Stuff has finally started happening so i just need to power through the rest of the book. I expected to like this a lot more than I do right now.

i really want to like this book but jesus is it making me work for it. It’s also made me realise i liked the first and second but this one is a drag to say the least, equally useful for all the loose ends but its effort to get through

i’m really confused if i like this book or not. I’m getting lost in all the politics but captivated by needing to tie up any loose ends already ingrained in the last two books. I can’t stop reading but does this mean it’s a good book, i don’t know how to answer truthfully.
