Vicarious enjoyment. I would not want to live on the ISS after reading Kelly's descriptions. Noisy, smelly, cramped.

Stephanie Gorton's writing is efficient and effective. I am enjoying the audiobook by the artistic voice actor Maggi Meg Reed.

John Green's writing is efficient yet effective. His essays in this compilation are thought inspiring word nuggets.

Twain's writing draws one in. A good ol' "page turner."

Popularizes the discoveries of our world. An underlying premise from James Watson in discovering DNA in 1953: "In science there is only one answer and that has to be correct."

A good mix of popular science and high tech genetic engineering. Isaacson adds strong injections of sizing up the personalities involved and the sometimes frosty office politics.

Always like returning to Paul Theroux and one of his rail journeys. His writing places the reader on the rattletrap train with bad food...looking out the window.

Bergreen is a writer's writer. A big story of the space race of the 16th century. Big personalities well illustrated.
