okay i see why they're doing the ' ' format now because hoo boy there's a ton of internal dialogue/monologues in here (in a good way they're so beautifully written)

look i know we like to make fun of italics but putting internal thoughts on single quotes like ' ' these ones are actually making it incredibly hard to visually read... :/ sometimes italics aren't bad y'all it exists for a reason
