Doesn’t everyone love being sick and tired and a little achey, but it’s 10:30 and you still have to do homework because you had a sports game, and you really don’t want to do the homework but you have to because there’s a quiz over it?

Guys guys guys study tip!!!
Reward yourself!! After every page or section or question or however you want to chunk it out, give yourself a little something! For me, that’s candy corn and I’ll eat a piece after every chunk and it keeps me going. For you, it could be chocolate or a gummy, or really any small thing that you like. Homework is hard, so reward yourself for your progress!!

One thing I’m really liking about reading the Odyssey is how welcoming and hospitable the people are. Like, you can turn up at their door and they give you food and wine BEFORE asking your name. Even the guy that took care of the pigs was like “Ok, you’re a traveler, you look really ragged, lemme go kill a nice delicious pig and we can eat it together.” Like what?!? Why can’t we be like that??

Is it wrong that I want Telemachus as a book boyfriend?

I have a 6 ish hour car ride ahead of me… I could nap, I could read, I could listen to my audiobook, I could listen to a new podcast… there’s too many options!

Not me writing travelling (uk version) instead of traveling (American version) as an American and not joticing until my mom pointed it out. (Honestly like the two ls better)

Anyone else absolutely hate writing things about yourself? Like for an essay, or a speech, or a scholarship? I just feel like a suck up!

To anyone who doesn’t speak English as their first language but chooses to read/comment/write reviews/etc in English: DON’T APOLOGIZE IF YOU THINK YOUR ENGLISH IS BAD. I promise you it’s amazing, and the fact that you’ve actually taken the time to learn it and have it be understandable is also amazing.

Really good so far! Marissa Meyer is so good at putting a new twist on fairy tales.
