bob randomly mentioning that denzel washington would be a good woody guthrie, in a biopic, needs to be talked about more.

i love reading about how bob talks about burnout. not in the sense of “oh, even the greatest musicians have low points” but in the headspace of being like “this is the last thing i will ever doing my career, i am so tired and exhausted from the rat race, i just want some privacy”.

i feel like that often and it’s very reassuring and validating to know that feeling isn’t exclusive.

the whiplash from talking about a sunny day in the 50s on one page and going straight into the 70s on the next needs to be studied.

with the amount of niche-folk artists name drops, i feel like i should make a list of all of them for my own music research…
