The pacing is weird. Things are moving too quickly.

I love the concept but I'm sooo annoyed with the main character just being taken with no answers and not doing anything to change her situation. It's definitely personal preference but I don't know if I have the patience for it

Taking me a minute to get used to the switching between pov. Most of the time I don't know who we following until halfway through the chapter. I had to slow down my audiobook 😔

Why are they blaming her when Curran's the one who brought him up as a suspect and she didn't seem convinced but they still made her confront him. This is going to really bother me

Having just read dead witch walking I have to say so far they seem very similar. I'm sure that will probably change but wow I wasn't sure what book I was reading there for a second

Not sure why i picked up the third book but I guess I want to see what happens between Rachel and Ivy. I was hoping Rachel would talk to her about what she learned at the end of the last book but it ended so abruptly nothing was really resolved.

It's pretty obvious to me whoever sent the demon is now trying to set up Trent since the demon didn't work. Trent is too tidy for those gruesome murders. But that's just my guess.

Oki Ivy is giving abusive partner vibes. Rachel needing to walk on eggshells around her or risked being attacked has me losing interest. It's just not sitting right with me. Someone please tell me it gets better

You can't get drop a bomb like what Nick said about Ivy motivations and not freaking address. Rachel heard why hasn't she said anything

I've been really sick for weeks now and with being in and out of hospital I haven't had a chance to get much reading done. From what I've read so far I'm liking it but Arlo situation is not one I tend to enjoy reading in books. Being forced to obey by outside powers is not a good time for me. That probably why I don't like the kidnapping trope either. I'm hoping we moved passed all that soon.

I don't remember the first book much and couldn't find a spoilery summary of it anywhere so now I'm just confused and bored. I remember loving the first book so I'm hoping it picks up as I start to remember more

Someone needs to explain to me how the curse of giving her heart to another wouldn't be activated if she chose another after the tournament. And it better not just be it's the magic of the tournament. She needs to be looking into a way to help Leo.

Probably a bad sign that I'm not worried about the tournament because I don't like Caspen that much
