I'm enjoying Norma's parts much more than Joe's parts. I hate Joe for a lot of reasons. Still don't think May should've blamed him for getting hit by a car (#mytrauma) but I guess she kinda has a point.

I considered abandoning this 3 audiobook hours ago, but now I'm committed to finishing it since I do actually want to find out how all the pieces come together

REALLY loving this so far. Purvis does a fantastic job writing men & misogyny in a fascinating & realistic way. Tell me why a middle aged man has beef with sisters aged 6-16 and tell me that you DON'T know a man like that irl. Pete, maybe the teenage girl doesn't talk to you because she can tell you're a pervert and not because she's literally evil. Christ

I kind of don't understand what's happening

This is interesting so far! The prose is sort of detached & intellectual which is very indicative of the narrator so it's not like super out of place. The story starts right away with very little buildup but it is super intriguing

Shit is getting CRAZY

It's very narrative (first i did this, then i did this, then this happened, etc.) but it's done so well as to not be boring. Plus the different timelines & mysteries are interesting!

Loving the narrative style. Excellent so far!!

My library hold finally came through and I FINALLY get to listen to this. So good so far. Love the story within a story within a story structure

I cannot stop listening to this audiobook. Every single new character is fucked up in unimaginable ways

It's very tell, not show, but I'm very engrossed

Delightful! All the characters are so solid to me and that may be helped by the audiobook narrator but honestly I just really like them all

The foreshadowing does take away from the reveal a bit. The pieces fall into place but it's like 3/4 of the puzzle is already completed when the story starts. There's not much of a shock factor

Liking it so far! The exposition in some places feels a little shoehorned in but overall enjoyable
