One perspective I disagree with (based on a dislike of choice feminism & an interest in 1800s lit) is that Frankenstein's biggest failure was being & acting like a man, particularly in the way that childrearing is not his strong suit. The idea that a woman could not be as blinded by pride & ambition, & would be more predisposed to parenthood, & would then avoid the events of the 1818 novel, is misogynistic itself 1/2
