Just because a book has a good premise doesnt mean it should have been written... or in this case read. Ugh this is not the book for me

Im having such a hard time following the pacing of this book. Half of the time i dont know whos talking, they make crazy jumps from one scene to the next, or frm one point to a seemingly unrelated one, and some of the flowery wording is just confusing. I get we can make connections in subtext n between scenes but the set up is kinda lacking. I did laugh at the line about the socially appropriate number of knives tho

Trying really hard to like this book but the het slop and clashing narrative voices is driving me up the wall. Please tell me it gets better

Theres been a couple editorial mishaps... im trying to not let it bother me because im enjoying this book and i really like seth's writing style that said, the elipses throughout the book make some weird sentences / paragraphs end with one blank line of . . ." . On pg53 he says "he was wrenched away his feet" (missing prep?) pg99 "its not her rule that im worried about it" (?) and pg105 "lestr called a , and" (???)

I read this in 2021 so I remember some parts but its still so fucking good i cant put this down but i have chores and shit to do today lol
