Moving to my pause shelf - huge slump for me

Listening via audiobook… ran out of hours for the month so picking it back up in May! Egads!

Buddy read with Amie… totally forgot they fucked in Book 1.

Not the vibe. Too much too soon, I know absolutely nothing about the characters, no world building/background on anything, and tbh pretty unlikeable characters (primary and secondary). Moving to my DNF shelf.

I am afraid

Think I’m going to put this “on pause…” aka likely never going to pick up again. Just totally lost interest in the plot and characters.

Not into this. But I am going to keep going. Womp womp.

I will finish this book, but I won’t enjoy it. This is simply for my book goal.

Just gonna start off by saying that I despise covers like this… won’t let it stop me though 👀

Honestly, I don’t even know why I stopped reading this book… I really liked it. Just haven’t felt a huge draw to pick it back up. Putting on pause for now. Would be easy to finish though.

Okay - love this series. I started this book RIGHT after I finished the second in the trilogy, and I think I just left it because I was getting burnt out. Putting on pause for now, but will hopefully be back… only time will tell.

Okay I really liked this book in the beginning. I like the magic, the cards, the romance, etc.. was on vacation while I was reading then got back to the real world and just never felt a huge urge to pick it back up. Putting on pause for now… maybe I’ll come back to it? I want to. We’ll see.

Not great. Putting this on pause and will likely never start it back up again. Too wordy and repetitive, also very cringey. The “cringe” factor was kind of fun for a bit… like the feeling of watching trashy TV… but the fun wore off very quickly. Bummer. The cover is cute though!

Just starting this book. Don’t know much about it and have purposely avoided booktok/bookstagram reviews so I can go in with zero expectations. I haven’t taken this approach yet in my “back to reading journey” and I’m excited to see how it goes.

This book is bad… Really bad. I’ve found three… THREE! TYPOS! I’m going to finish because I’ve made it this far, but I’m not happy about it.
