That divine love comes from Sanctifying Grace. It burns up their weakness and their cow-ardice. Think of St. Paul, St. Francis Xavier, the martyrs...By comparison, most of us give Him back a love that is weak and lukewarm."

Fr. Kerry basically gave away his whole library and I’ve inherited 20 books

I feel like I'm taking class every time I read a section of this book, and I mean that in a good way. I probably won't finish this for another few months. The brain power needed for this is more than what I have to give.

I love that he constantly uses the bees in his analogies. This is probably one of the best spiritual reads I've read so far this year. I'm on the final part...my book only has 206 pages. interesting....

I've decided to incorporate more spanish spiritual books into my reading to enhance my vocabulary

Saint Augustine emphasizes Gods love as the priority of all loves, anything before that creates disorder, lack of virtue, and false hope in love. So far all of his writings point us towards having a deeper encounter with God which shows us the greatest love of all, therefore allowing us to love thy neighbor as we love ourselves and to desire to live more virtuously.

This book is literally composed of St. Augustines works which highlight his teachings and views on love, human and divine
