I'm really not enjoying the writing style in this book, and the name 'Moonflower' is irking me.

I unfortunately just do not care what happens with Debbie, nor her family/neighbours/garden. A shame because I liked The Intruder and the FMC in that one.

It's no good. I can't do it. I started reading this months ago, and it didn't grip me at all. I've come back to it now and it feels even worse. I don't think I'm getting along with the writing, feels a bit meandering in places and I just don't care about any of the characters, the world or overall arc. Such a shame as I'd heard such great things.

I'm currently in the middle of chapter 2 in the omnibus edition. These chapters feel LONG. I'm really struggling with the writing style of this, and it doesn't feel particularly dark to me either.
I'm not sure if it's my mood or that I just can't connect with this book, unsure if it's worth me continuing.
