The first 50 pages are pretty bizarre, but intriguing.

I gave up on this one the first time, but I love everything else by Stephenson so much I'm compelled to try again. Plus, the paperback version was just sitting on a shelf at Calvin Fletcher's... Felt like a sign. So I took it.

Girl wakes up with no memory of who she is, surrounded by dead bodies all wearing latex gloves. Opens a letter she finds in her pocket addressed "To You: the body that you're wearing used to be mine." Yeah, I'll read that.

GRR - I love this book so far, and it's now inside a missing backpack somewhere. The library and I are NOT happy about that.

so far... meh.

this is one that i found on the library's "New Releases" wall - a convenient spot for them to showcase any book with a release date sticker on the spine, generally ranging from the early 2000's to now.

I'm not sure "spine-tingling" is the proper descriptor yet... but at least it's keeping my interest.

Short story collections are a little... different. It's easy to burn through 3 or 4 of them at a time, but then it feels like you missed the point. Ok, interesting, on to the next one!

So far... brilliant.

there is something compelling enough about this blindfolded goose chase of a story that keeps me reading... not sure how much longer I can hold on though.
