This story has become irritatingly dull. I’m struggling to finish it. Snails move faster than this plot.

I’m enjoying the story, but the narrator of this Audiobook (Ashley Bryce) consistently mispronounces common words. Rations is pronounced ray-shuns, sigils is pronounced cig-gulls, hydrangea as hi-drain-yuh, coiffed hair as koi’ffed hair. I’m not a purest and perhaps I’m wrong but it is a bit annoying.

The audiobook narrator’s voice seems wrong for this book, but I’ll stick with it.

This book is so good!!!!

Much like the first book in this series, this book’s plot moves at a snails pace. An over abundance of prose to the point that our protagonist seems melancholy at best and spineless when it comes to self-preservation.

ಠ_ಠ I don’t get this book at all. I find the protagonist annoying and I’m also annoyed with the author for the way she builds her characters up by putting others down: Bashing retail workers. Bashing her husband for coming off as paternal when he tries comforting her…as she endlessly whines about a situation she caused. Yet totally welcomes the maternal comfort when her boss comforts her. To Be Continued.

Reeaaallly slow, saturated with long prose, boring. Not much has happened and what has sounded promising at first but has deflated in a steady decline. Probably gonna tap out and DNF.

JAY KRISTOFF IS MY NEW IDOL! This story does not yield and it’s just so well done. Read this series. You must!

This story is so well written it reminds me that word choice is an art in-and-of-itself. The amount of setting her writing conveys in few words is much appreciated and savored. The narration choice for our female protagonist is perfection. I’m engrossed in this story so far…

The visual planning and design of this book is giving my ADHD-brain multiple braingasms. So well done.

I wanted to like this book. Perhaps I just wasn’t in the right mood for it…but I gave it a good few hours and was underwhelmed. No where near a shrilly as American Queen. I’ll probably pick Sinner up again after I check a few other WTR’s of my list. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ಠ_ಠ I liked this series until about a third of the way through this book. It went from being a plot with porn …to a paltry porn with little to no plot. Kinda bummed this series plateaued and is now making a rapid descent into DNFville. Setting it aside and moving on for now. Might return after a few other books.

This book is soooo slow. 4.5 hours in and every element of this story is dragging. Barely any world building. The characters seem shallow, cliche and underwhelming. I’m gonna stick it out …I just hope this book picks up soon. 😴

This book is exceeding my expectations. It’s so clever and the way the story is told makes it captivating.
