Abandoning at the 1/3 point. I kept waiting for it to get good? But I just can't make myself care enough to keep reading it.

It's still not great, but I'm still persisting...

I've reached the first moment in the book that I've enjoyed rather than cringing at or being bored by ... There might still be hope for this book!

So much eye rolling while listening to this, but I'm sticking it out for now ...

Just reached the halfway point of this audio behemoth... Who would've thought I'd get sucked into this story all over again?

How can I be four hours in and only at 12%? Just 32 hours to go ...

Loving it so far! I think I'm going to have to buy my own copy.

I keep picking up this book to read "just a little bit" before bed, then reading for well over an hour because I can't put it down. I couldn't even tell you why it's so gripping - maybe because everything that happens is fascinating, and with the jumps in time in the story (which, by the way, aren't at all confusing), I have an idea of where some of it is heading, but still can't wait to see it unfold.

I've been scared to read this book (and pretty much any book on the climate crisis) for fear it will send me into a tailspin of despair. Instead, my experience so far is the exact opposite, and just what I need - acknowledgement of the urgency and scale of the crisis, and our many difficult feelings about it, combined with encouragement to have stubborn optimism and rise to the challenge.

I'm finally making progress on this again! There's just so much good information to absorb.

Well, my first assessment was right in that this book is incredibly useful, and wrong in that I won't be able to read it fast because there is too much good stuff for me to absorb! It's due back at the library soon so I guess I'm buying this book.

Rereading because I realised I've been wrong about my tendency for years... Now that I've (hopefully) correctly figured out which type I am, maybe I'll find the advice more useful!

I've been putting off reading this because I thought it would be dense, but with all the example dialogues and illustrations, it's pretty easy for me to absorb it quickly. (So far anyway.) It probably also helps that I've thankfully learned a lot of this in my work and parenting already - although I'm already surprised that I'm doing this with my son that I know I should not be doing!

"Plausible Deniability" was so good. I think it might be my favourite so far.

I'm normally not that interested in short stories, but so far these are great!

I don't often reread books, but this one called out to me. Even so, I didn't expect to be sucked into it again so quickly. It's so fascinating and absorbing.

"He had a maple leaf on his chest..." Oh right. They're talking about London in Canada, not in England. That makes a lot more sense. *facepalm*

Entertaining so far, except it's bizarre that the author keeps trying to convince us this is set in England when all the dialogue sounds pretty American to me...

There I go again, adding 12 books to my TBR list when I'm barely reading at all... Sometimes thinking about reading books is a form of entertainment much more compelling than actually reading.
