Rereading to try to not to scowl through every page of feeling it’s fanfiction quality

Too many spine and tingling and heat mentioned. Other than that, entertaining though slightly predictable. Glad we are half and have resolved Scott but leery about tactics, fraternization and of course her pins.

I picked up this book solely because it was at Aldi and I had heard of it on social media. No idea it paralleled Disney and for that I will likely finish by Sunday !

Learning about female main character, Violet, who hasn’t been back to the town her grandmother called her back to in 12 years (to when her best friend died?). Grandma runs a magic bookstore that is about to be discussed, gmas boyfriend just died in the driveway (strangled?) and the mayor is her ex. Lots to unpack so far, but the adopted cat sounds cute

Slow at first, then gripping, but leads to predictable plot and everyone wins closures. A good story about second chances in life (or death?)
